Hello and welcome to my website. I’m a new talented children's author with a unique writing style that provides a reading experience unlike any other. I’m so appreciative and delighted by the positive responses my work has already received. I would like to foster that connection with a wider audience.
I’m looking forward to sharing my future stories as they come to fruition, but in the meantime, check out some of my featured publications and more personal blog posts below.

As a young child I was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colourful characters, never really sharing them with anyone. Just simply keeping them as an over active imagination, I’m adept at using my creativeness whether in work as a chef.
Story writing, drawing and even when i paint in oils, using my creative flair within my ideas bringing my stories to life in engaging and entertaining ways.

Biography
The author, ig Oliver, has worked all around the world as a chef. Born in rural Northamptonshire in the 60’s with three siblings and hardworking parents. Finishing his school years in Leicestershire and then catering college in Derbyshire continuing his young working career in the surrounding restaurants and hotels. He then moved to London securing work for King Hussain of Jordan in the 90’s in Palace gardens, but declined an offer to work in their palace in Aqaba. He was later offered work in Switzerland America and Europe cooking and working for various celebrities, Palaces Chateau’s and Embassy’s for the likes of Asher Edelman the real Gordon Gekko from the movie Wall street portrayed by Michael Douglas. Then cooking for Kirk Douglas later through Lord Hanson, Brigadier Landon the White Sheik, Lord Heseltine, The American Embassy Geneva, Prime ministers’ presidents’ politicians and many of the Royal Family. By this time in the late 90’s working as House manager and executive chef in Moscow Russia overseeing the catering of the first state visit by HRH Elizabeth 2nd in Moscow. Afterwards receiving an award in the Kremlin by the queen.
He continues his work as a chef today and has proved himself to be a world class chef, but now he puts pen to paper to apply a skill he has kept on the backburner for most of his career as a chef. Although having done many fine oil paintings and portraits in his spare time, he now uses these skills to draw up his own beautiful illustrations to help tell the stories he has so well conjured up through his remarkable imagination and experience’s.

SO... WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT
A quick insight.
Well, it's a story, a fairy tale in the old sense, like the ones we all had read to us when we were little, no modern technical stuff, just plain fantasy fiction. (With a little reality).
There, was once, a long time ago two twin sisters who were dragonfly queens, Sindeena and Belliza who ruled the skies. One day Belliza found a fabled living pollen crystal stone, it was the first ever magic, created many years before.
But through jealousy and malice, by her sister Sindeena, the stone breaks and transforms Belliza into the very first butterfly. She is banished, only to return later after realising she had the power to change and transform living things. But her sister Sindeena sets out to destroy her and to take from her the magic living pollen that her sister possess.
Belliza gives charge to a Bee called Bramley that she befriends to help protect her children. While she leads a false trail for her sister to follow.
Things don't go as planned, and Bramley's life changes forever as sinister, malicious events follows him.

Although the illustrations in the book are of cartoon fantasy quality and vision, in my mind when I wrote the story it was all in real life.

THE BUTTERFLY BEE LADY PART 2
Through this story begins a new journey. Bee the daughter of the butterfly bee lady is revealed and her path begins and the amazing characters she meets and also the villains. Those who want to take from her the secret magic, the living pollen crystal stone and use it for themselves. Her story is about the changes she goes through and the realization of who she is and the power she holds.
A power greater than time itself.
This story exposes the realities of her life and the repercussions of the path she takes and that of her mothers, when you play with nature's magic something will happen beyond your control. What will the future now hold for Bee and her companions and the demons who pursue her, who’s world will it eventually take them to, or is it the magic itself that is controlling its own destiny and if so where does it want to go?

During her adventures, Bee meets a wide range of fascinating characters, many of whom become her new companions. All the while she finds herself pursued by malevolent forces who want to take away her secret magic: the living pollen crystal stone. As she undergoes many changes, Bee begins to understand who she is. She realises that she holds an awesome power; one greater than time itself, over which she may have no control…
